Putin's Hidden War: The Russians Fighting Back

This observational film for The Economist follows a group of Russian activists, protesting against Putin's invasion of Ukraine. Filmed over a year in Russia and Europe, the stakes could not have been higher for the people involved, as they faced up to ten years in prison for speaking out against the conflict. 

I arranged and directed complex shoots in Russia, Armenia and the Canary Islands, as well as gathering user generated content from activists when it became too dangerous to film them directly and then edit-produced and scripted the film.
